Here you see a Chieftain aircraft being met on the Eyre strip by the Rocket Launcher, ready to carry guests to the Homestead. You may walk if you so desire, it is only 500 metres and a good chance to stretch your legs. We can arrange suitable aircraft for your transfer from anywhere in Australia. Helicopter flights provide an opportunity to view the country, and great photography.

Consider flying one way, and then transfer by road the other.

BY ROAD

Meet and greet services can be arranged on request between Adelaide airport or hotels. We have established arrangements with specialty transfer operators.

BY COACH

Daily coach service to Blanchetown will be met by Portee staff by arrangement. Booking and payment is required in advance by the coach operators, but we can arrange this on your behalf if you wish.

HIRE CARS

Hire car operators have a policy restricting use of their vehicles to 'sealed roads only' without additional insurance. Hertz have waived this condition for their cars travelling from Blanchetown or Swan Reach to Portee, and Caudell Hire Cars do not have any resrictions at all. We therefore recommend Caudell and Hertz as a preferred suppliers. Be aware of this condition of hire when motoring in Australia.
